Personal Flow Monitor

The Personal Flow Monitor measures the conditions for experiencing flow while performing the personal task, role, or function. It aims to give the professional insights on how to achieve better performance and more satisfaction, among other things.

What does this tool entail?

The Personal Flow Monitor is a scientifically validated measurement tool that provides insight into the conditions and characteristics of flow, the optimal experience in which nine conditions are present. This tool measures the presence of these conditions and other relevant variables to analyze team flow. The questionnaire is offered digitally and takes an average of 20 minutes to complete. There is also a Personal Flow Quick Scan, a shorter version (5 minutes completion time), which is best used after an earlier completion of the Personal Flow Monitor under the guidance of a certified Team Flow Coach.

What does it do?

The Personal Flow Monitor determines whether and to what extent the conditions for flow are present and whether one regularly experiences flow during work. In addition, it measures performance measures to evaluate whether optimizing the personal task environment leads to better (team) performance. The Personal Flow Quick Scan provides a quick snapshot of flow, but is intended as a follow-up measurement.

What does it provide?

The Personal Flow Monitor provides insight into the factors that contribute to or hinder flow. This insight, often obtained as part of a Personal Flow Trajectory, enables individuals and teams to optimize their work environment and processes. By combining the Personal Flow Monitor or Quick Scan with the Team Flow Monitor or Quick Scan and other variables, we can tailor a Flow Dashboard for each team or organization, leading to improved performance and effectiveness.

It is easier to enhance creativity by changing conditions in the environment than by trying to make people think more creatively.”
