This is often due to excessive procedures, policies, planning and control or because organizations establish self-managing teams and then leave team members to their own devices (Weggeman, 2007). This increases the likelihood of developing dysfunction, burnout, stress and absenteeism. So in a lot of cases, you need to offer team members more support in working together.
